1 lug 1991 · Non vi è molto da aggiungere, i Bolt Thrower sono e saranno sempre questi: poca fantasia, pochissima innovazione ma una carica espressiva travolgente ed una capacità di sapersi continuamente migliorare senza mai vivere sugli allori, cosa che ha contribuito a proiettarli in maniera definitiva nell’olimpo del death metal.

Possiamo asserire che “ War Master ” è senza dubbio, sotto tutti i punti di vista, il miglior disco dei Bolt Thrower fino a questo momento: un suono più definito, strutture dei brani sono più elaborate e più varie, gli assoli sono meno schizoidi e più ragionati e il growl di Willets è sempre più profondo e mauro.
