The Upsetters è stata la house band del produttore reggae giamaicano Lee "Scratch" Perry, ovvero il gruppo musicale residente presso lo studio di registrazione di Perry, il Black Ark Studio. Insieme agli Skatalites, gli Upsetters sono stati uno dei più importanti gruppi della musica giamaicana.
The Upsetters was the name given to the house band for Jamaican reggae producer Lee "Scratch" Perry. The name of the band comes from Perry's nickname of Upsetter, after his song "I Am the Upsetter", a musical dismissal of his former boss Coxsone Dodd .
Lee Perry's studio band for the Upsetter label - the same as in Lee Perry & The Upsetters. Formed in 1968 the Upsetters had three distinct line-ups. The first line-up was comprised of Gladdy Anderson & Winston Wright (keyboards), Jackie Jackson (bass), Hugh Malcom & Lloyd "Tin Legs" Adams (drums).

The Upsetter è il primo album del gruppo reggae giamaicano The Upsetters, prodotto da Lee "Scratch" Perry e pubblicato in Gran Bretagna dall'etichetta Trojan Records nel 1969 per presentare le prime produzioni di Perry. È stato ristampato nel 1996, sia su CD che su LP, e nel 2003 (solo su CD).
