The Monks of Doom is an American alternative rock band, formed in California in 1986. The band's music draws from post-punk, progressive rock, indie rock, psychedelic and folk rock traditions. The group is a side project of the band Camper Van Beethoven, with whom all Monks of Doom members have been involved.
David Immerglück, Victor Krummenacher, Greg Lisher, and Chris Pedersen, collectively known as Monks of Doom, release their first new album of all new material since 1993’s “Forgery” this fall on Pitch A Tent records.

Forgery is an album by the American band Monks of Doom, released in 1992. It was the band's first album to be distributed by a major label, and their second after the breakup of the members' former band, Camper Van Beethoven. Monks of Doom supported the album with a North American tour.
