Chigwell School is a co-educational independent boarding and day school. It is a private school, and not a Public School, which is a common misconception. It is located in Chigwell, in the Epping Forest district of Essex. It consists of a Pre Prep (ages 4–8), Prep School (ages 8–11), Senior School (ages 11–16) and Sixth Form.
Chigwell School is an academically selective independent school for boys and girls between the ages of four and eighteen. The foundation of the School is Anglican and a Christian ethos is maintained, but pupils and staff are welcomed from many different ethnic and religious backgrounds.
A Home-From-Home. Boarding at Chigwell is rather different from the traditional model of an English boarding school. We specialise in helping international students adapt happily and securely to living and studying in the UK, and preparing them for successful entry into British universities.
