College of San Mateo ( CSM) is a public community college in San Mateo, California. It is part of the San Mateo County Community College District. College of San Mateo is located at the northern corridor of Silicon Valley and situated on a 153-acre site in the San Mateo hills.
The Admissions & Records staff can assist you with becoming a CSM student, registering for classes, evaluation of college records, degrees and certificates, and using WebSMART to access a variety of services.
Since 1922, CSM has been a gateway to higher education leading to university transfer, career preparation and advancement, and professional and personal development. The College currently serves approximately 13,000 day, evening and weekend students annually.
College of San Mateo offers two types of certificates: Certificate of Achievement (16 units or more) Certificate of Specialization (Fewer than 16 units, not state approved) Units earned to meet certificate requirements may be applied toward the 60 units required for an AA or AS degree.
