Home E. Senior E. Junior and Leaving Certificate Programmes E. Senior College. Fifth Year is the first year of the Senior Cycle Programme which is of two years duration and culminates in the Leaving Certificate or International Baccalaureate examinations.
History of SAC. St Andrew’s College opened its doors to sixty four students on 8 January 1894 . In 1937, 151 students followed the College to its new premises at 47-51 Wellington Place, Clyde Road. Classes began at the present purpose-built building on Booterstown Avenue in January 1973.
Philosophy. The philosophy on which the College was founded, and from which it draws its inspiration today, is that a high-quality, rounded education is essential for the moral, social, spiritual, cultural and academic development of all students.
