Martha Haskins, Lady Darwin (née du Puy; July 27, 1861 - 6 February 1947), known as Maud Darwin, was an American socialite and the wife of the English Cambridge University astronomer Sir George Darwin.
She was the wife of the English Cambridge University astronomer Sir George Darwin. She rejected twice the marriage proposals of Henry Martyn Taylor. The Jebbs were able to join them.

Maud, and Other Poems (1855) was Alfred Tennyson 's first published collection after becoming poet laureate in 1850. Among the "other poems" was "The Charge of the Light Brigade", which had already been published in the Examiner a few months earlier.
