  6. 16 nov 2014 · London SS was an early British punk rock group founded in March 1975 by guitarist Mick Jones and bassist Tony James. The band spent most of its short history auditioning potential members. Besides Jones and James, however, guitarist Brian James (not related to Tony) was the only other semi-permanent member.

  7. The London SS were the band that never was but were as important as the Sex Pistols in the birth of what would come to be known as punk rock. They never had a stable line up, never played a gig and never released a record and were in essence Mick Jones and Tony James (see left).
