Biografia. Il principe Giorgio nacque il 25 aprile 1929 nel Castello di Artstetten in località Artstetten-Pöbring; secondogenito del duca di Hohenberg, Massimiliano e della contessa Elisabeth von Waldburg zu Wolfegg und Waldsee [1] .
Georg, Duke of Hohenberg (25 April 1929 – 25 July 2019), was an Austrian nobleman who was, at the time of his death, the senior agnate of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine.
Another former head of the family, Georg, served as ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Holy See during part of the pontificate of Pope John Paul II. He was also a Knight of the Golden Fleece .

Georg, Duke von Hohenberg (25 April 1929 at Artstetten Castle – 25 July 2019), married on 4 July 1960 in Vienna, Princess Eleonore of Auersperg-Breunner (12 September 1928 in Goldegg – 15 February 2021), daughter of Karl Alain, Prince of Auersperg-Breunner and Countess Marie Henriette von Meran.
