  1. The Centre for Talented Youth, Ireland provides enrichment courses for students with high academic ability. The Centre also offers university style courses for students of all ages and abilities. CTY Ireland was established at Dublin City University in 1992 to meet the needs of high ability students aged 6 to 17 years from Ireland and abroad.

  2. Website. CTYI. The Centre for Talented Youth Ireland ( CTYI) is a programme for students of high academic ability between the ages of six and seventeen in Ireland. [1] There are sibling projects around the world, most notably the CTY programme at Johns Hopkins University, the original model for CTY Ireland.

  3. To qualify to take part in CTY Ireland Programmes students must qualify in one of the three assessment areas, Abstract, Verbal or Numerical Reasoning. Students who are in their first year of secondary school should take part in the CTYI Talent Search. The assessment is administered through English only.

CTYI organises courses for second level students every summer in the months of June and July. We also have a wide range of Correspondence Courses which take place during the school year.   7. This programme takes place in two separate two week session in June and July each year. We offer both Residential & Commuter Places. As well as having a strong academic structure, the CAT summer programme for second level students has an extensive social programme.
