The Department of History and Philosophy. The Faculty of Law was founded in 1996. This was preceded by the establishment of the Department of Law in 1986, and in 1992 - the opening of the specialization "Law".
12 ago 2023 · Faculty of Law is one of the oldest Ukrainian law schools. The beginning of Lviv University dates back to 20 January 1661. That’s when the Polish King Jan Kazimierz signed a diploma, which gave “dignity academy and university title” to Lviv Jesuit College.
The civilists of the Law Faculty of Lviv University were interested in different aspects of civil law and procedure, including contractual right (R. Lonshan de Beye, E. Till), the question that arose on the borderline of civil and international Private law (Karl Stefko).

Faculty prepares students for their field of study - law. Classes with students faculty conduct more than seventy teachers, most of whom have advanced degrees and titles, including doctors, professors.
The faculties of law, theology, philosophy and medicine, the existence of a medical college in Lviv has been dated since. In 1891, the Austro-Hungarian government decided to establish an independent medical faculty thanks to the intercession of the governor of Galicia (Eastern Europe), Count Kasimir Felix Badeni a medical faculty was established.
