Mike Kirkland (born June 29, 1954) is a former American football quarterback who played three seasons for the Baltimore Colts in the National Football League (NFL). As a 13-year-old, Kirkland won the National Punt, Pass, and Kick competition, which included a 57-yard pass.

The Brothers Four is an American folk singing group formed in 1957 in Seattle, Washington, and best known for their 1960 hit song "Greenfields". History. Bob Flick, John Paine, Mike Kirkland, and Dick Foley met at the University of Washington, [3] where they were members of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity in 1956 (hence the "Brothers" appellation).

Beginning as fraternity brothers at the University of Washington, Mike was an integral part of the first amazing performing decade of these "brothers by choice," helping to establish a sound and presence that took them all around the world during the exciting Folk Revival 60s.
