Nu'man ibn Bashir ibn Sa'd al-Ansari (Arabic: نُّعْمَانُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ, romanized: Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr ibn Saʿd al-Anṣārī; c. 622 –684) was a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He was also a commander and statesman of the Umayyad Caliphate.
Narrated An-Nu'man ibn Bashir: When AbuBakr asked the permission of the Prophet (ﷺ) to come in, he heard Aisha speaking in a loud voice. So when he entered, he caught hold of her in order to slap her, and said: Do I see you raising your voice to the Messenger of Allah? The Prophet (ﷺ) began to prevent him and AbuBakr went out angry.
Narrated An-Nu`man bin Bashir: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it."
Narrated An-Nu'man ibn Bashir: I am the one who is best informed of the time of this prayer, i.e. the night prayer. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to offer it at the hour when the moon went down on its third night.

In this hadith, al-Nu‘man ibn Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) tells of the Prophet’s instruction to the people to straighten their rows, as he said: “You should certainly straighten your rows.” What is meant is that the people standing in the rows should all stand in one straight line.
