Steve Nieve (/ n aɪ ˈ iː v / "naïve"; born Stephen John Nason, 21 February 1958) is an English musician and composer. In a career spanning more than 40 years, Nieve has been a member of Elvis Costello's backing bands the Attractions and the Imposters, as well as Madness.
Costello & Nieve is a limited edition five-disc live album by Elvis Costello and Steve Nieve, released in 1996. It was recorded in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston and New York City.

In 2019 at the occasion of the 62nd Grammy Awards Ceremony, I was awarded a Grammy for my participation to Elvis Costello and the Imposter’s album Look Now. In 2007, the opera I composed with my partner Muriel Teodori, ʻWelcome to the Voiceʼ, was recorded at Abbey Road Studios for the Deutsche Grammophon label.
