Elizabeth Shirley Vaughan Paget, Marchioness of Anglesey, DBE, LVO (née Morgan; 4 December 1924 – 21 January 2017), better known as Dame Shirley Paget, was a British public servant and writer.
7 mar 2020 · Later, the Anglesey Tiara, and the magnificent Diamond Neglige, were pictured on the 7th Marchioness, also known as the author and writer Dame Shirley Paget, at the Coronation of the Queen in 1953. The family finances have been in decline since the days of the 5th Marquess.
On the monumental occasion of King George VI’s coronation, the Marchioness again wore the 5th Marquess’s beloved tiara. Her successor, the 7th Marchioness Shirley Paget showcased the tiara at another coronation, that of Queen Elizabeth II in 1952. The tiara has remained in the family ever since.

History of the WI. The Marchioness of Anglesey was National Chairman of the NFWI from 1966 to1969. Daughter of Charles Morgan, the novelist, Shirley Morgan grew up in Wales. When she married Sir George Paget, 7th Marquess of Anglesey, in 1948 she inherited the interest shown by her husband's family in the first WI in Britain at Llanfair PG.
