Luke Rendle. Igor Olejar. Crisis are an English punk rock band formed in 1977 in Guildford, Surrey. An openly left-wing and anti-fascist band, [1] they performed at rallies for Rock Against Racism and the Anti-Nazi League, and at Right to Work marches.
Led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Kirk Brandon (formerly of The Pack), the original group also consisted of bassist Stan Stammers (formerly of The Straps and The Epileptics), saxophonist John "Boy" Lennard, guitarist Steve Guthrie and drummer Luke Rendle (formerly of Crisis and The Straps).
Theatre of Hate fu una post-punk band fondata in Inghilterra nel 1980 e attiva fino al 1983. Guidata da Kirk Brandon, voce del gruppo ed ex componente della punk band The Pack, la formazione originaria consisteva in Steve Guthrie alla chitarra, Stan Stammers al basso, John Lennard al sassofono e Luke Rendle alla batteria.
The group played their final gig in their hometown Guildford, alongside Magazine and Bauhaus, on 10 May 1980, then disbanded. Bassist Tony Wakeford and guitarist Douglas Pearce formed the critically acclaimed Death in June, while drummer Luke Rendle went on to join The Pack and Theatre of Hate.
