The Medill School of Journalism (officially the Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications) is the journalism school of Northwestern University. It offers both undergraduate and graduate programs. It frequently ranks as the top school of journalism in the United States.
Medill’s Master of Science in Journalism (MSJ) degree is a STEM-designated program structured to give you the skills and training needed to help you launch your career in journalism, media, communications and other industries all over the world.

Between the pre-pandemic months of late 2019 and the end of May 2022, more than 360 newspapers closed, the report by Medill’s Local News Initiative found. Since 2005, the country has lost more than one-fourth of its newspapers and is on track to lose a third by 2025.
Bachelor of Science in Journalism Degree (45 units) All Medill students pursue a major in journalism. Students must also complete the Undergraduate Registration Requirement and the degree requirements of their home school.
