30 lug 2018 · Brooklyn native Leslie Ming was one of the key rhythm innovators to usher in the dance groove that defined the R&B charts during the Reagan era, but his musical training on the streets of New York in the 1970s gave him a back pocket full of funk that places him squarely in the pantheon of great funk drummers – studio or otherwise.
BT Express released an album per year through 1978. With the third album, Leslie Ming was brought in as drummer and Michael Jones was added as keyboardist.

This one is one of my favorites just because of how I met Leslie. Long story but a crazy one.
Ming, Leslie (17th November 1951-Present) He is a drummer, percussionist, vocalist, songwriter and programmer born in Brooklyn, New York. During the mid 1970s he became a member of the successful chart group B.T. Express, who had already seen success with the chart hits “Do It (‘Til You’re Satisfied)” and “Express” as well as several others.
