Eighteen-year-old Sandy is a switchboard operator. She still lives at home with her parents, and her brother and sister. Betty, a press photographer, lives alone and travels a lot. She suggests to her friends a daring plan to stave off their physical loneliness in a most radical way.
Four women of different ages who work for the same newspaper decide to have experiences with male prostitutes over the course of a weekend and plan to compare notes.
