Hugh McRoberts Secondary School, officially École Secondaire Hugh McRoberts Secondary School, is a Canadian public school in Richmond, British Columbia and is a part of School District 38 Richmond. It is one of the two schools in Richmond that offer the French Immersion Secondary School program (the other being McMath ).
McRoberts Secondary is a dual-track school offering both English and French Immersion programs. The school first opened in November 1962 and currently has an enrollment of 980 students in Grades 8 to 12.
McRoberts Secondary is one of two secondary schools that offers French Immersion. It has a long and well established tradition of academic excellence, athletics and community involvement.
We encourage all parents to be actively involved with their child (ren)'s program planning. Each year, a program planning booklet is produced to provide students and parents with an overview of the program offerings at McRoberts Secondary School.
Hugh McRoberts Secondary School. SAT School Code is 821311. Named after Hugh McRoberts, an early settler on Sea Island, this secondary school (grades 8-12 in British Columbia) is one of the two schools in Richmond that offer the French Immersion Secondary School program (the other being McMath).
Hugh McRoberts Junior Secondary (1961- ) was built to serve the flourishing South Arm community and to provide a continuous education for students at Whiteside, Kidd, and Woodward Elementary Schools. In 1996, the school became a full-spectrum secondary school and housed the French immersion program.
