Sir Robert Robinson OM FRS FRSE (13 September 1886 – 8 February 1975) was a British organic chemist and Nobel laureate recognised in 1947 for his research on plant dyestuffs (anthocyanins) and alkaloids. In 1947, he also received the Medal of Freedom with Silver Palm.

ROBINSON, Sir Robert Chimico, nato il 13 settembre 1886, professore all'università di Oxford. Studiò a Manchester, dove fu allievo di W. H. Perkin Jr.; fu nominato nel 1912 professore di chimica organica all'università di Sidney; di qui passò a Liverpool (1915), St. Andrews (1921), Manchester (1922), Londra (1928) ed infine a Oxford (1930).
