Olugbenga Adelekan, also known as Olugbenga, is a Nigerian-born music producer. Olugbenga performs as a solo artist and as the bass player of the Mercury Music Prize Award-nominated band Metronomy.
UK-based bassist, vocalist and DJ. Hi. I'm Olugbenga Adelekan, bassist for internationally renowned indie rock band Metronomy. Over the years we have played the likes of Glastonbury, Coachella, the Montreux Jazz Festival and Lollapaloooza with clubs and arenas in between.
I have written about my experiences as an immigrant and a musician for publications like The Guardian, Clash Magazine and Okay Africa. During the Covid pandemic, my brother Seye and I co-authored a short story that was printed and distributed throughout the UK as part of ‘Dr. Martens Presents’.
