Zac Holtzman is an American guitarist and co-founder of the band Dengue Fever. He also played Dr. San in the web series On Cinema, At The Cinema .
In the late 1990s, keyboardist Ethan Holtzman discovered Cambodian psychedelic rock music while traveling in that country. Coincidentally, his guitarist brother Zac Holtzman (then with the band Dieselhed) had discovered the same music while working at a record store.
Zac Holtzman is at the home in which he grew up, high in the hills of Topanga, California, at the end of a long day celebrating his father’s 75th birthday. Two doors down, he tells me, cult leader and serial killer Charles Manson claimed one of his nine victims.
