Alexander Schubert (born 13 July 1979) is a German composer. Much of his music is experimental, involving multimedia, improvisatory, and interactive elements. He draws upon free jazz, techno, and pop styles.

Alexander Schubert (1979) studied bioinformatics, multimedia composition. He’s a professor at the Musikhochschule Hamburg. Schubert’s interest explores the border between the acoustic and electronic world. In music composition, immersive installation and staged pieces he examines the interplay between the digital and the analogue.
Alexander Schubert studied computer programming and cognitive sciences from 2002 to 2006 at the University of Leipzig, and then multimedia composition with Georg Hajdu and Manfred Stahnke at the Hamburg Hochschule für Musik und Theater, graduating with a Master’s degree in 2010.
