Mary Glynne (born Mary Aitken; 25 January 1895 – 19 September 1954) was a British actress. Biography. Glynne was born Mary Aitken [1] in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. She started her career in 1908, in a stage play called The Dairymaids at the Princes Theatre in Manchester.

Mary Dilys Glynne OBE (19 February 1895 – 9 May 1991) was a British plant pathologist and mountaineer. She was the first plant pathologist at Rothamsted Experimental Station and was particularly interested in soil-based fungal diseases including potato wart, eyespot in wheat and take-all .

Lord Lyttelton married, firstly in 1839, Mary Glynne, daughter of Sir Stephen Glynne, 8th Baronet, and sister-in-law of William Ewart Gladstone. They had eight sons and four daughters: The Honourable Meriel Sarah Lyttelton (1840–1925) married John Gilbert Talbot and was the mother of Meriel Talbot.
