Maurissa Tancharoen (/ m ə ˈ r ɪ s ə ˌ t æ n tʃ ə ˈ r oʊ n /) is an American writer, producer, and actress. She is known for her work as the co-creator, show runner, and executive producer of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which aired on the ABC television network for 7 seasons from 2013 to 2020.
As an Asian-American female show runner, Maurissa's advocacy for diversity and representation is reflected in her work. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is not only touted as one of the most diverse shows on television, but as a show that celebrates layered, intelligent, powerful women.
