Murray Melvin (10 August 1932 – 14 April 2023) was an English actor. He was best known for his acting work with Joan Littlewood, Ken Russell and Stanley Kubrick. He was the author of two books: The Art of Theatre Workshop (2006) and The Theatre Royal, A History of the Building (2009).
Biografia. Principalmente attore teatrale, fu protagonista del film Sapore di miele (1961) e la sua interpretazione gli valse il premio come miglior attore al Festival di Cannes del 1962; negli anni sessanta ebbe una parte anche in Alfie (1966) di Lewis Gilbert .

16 apr 2023 · Lo scorso venerdì 14 aprile è morto l’attore Murray Melvin all’ospedale St. Thomas di Londra. Ha lavorato con registi come Stanley Kubrick e Ken Russell. Lo scorso dicembre è accidentalmente caduto e da allora non si è più ripreso, anche per le sue difficili condizioni di salute data l’età.
