However, his participation in the antisemitic propaganda film Jud Süß and his collaboration with the Nazis made him a controversial figure.

Werner Johannes Krauß war ein deutsch-österreichischer Schauspieler. Er galt als charismatisches Genie und größter Schauspieler seiner Zeit mit unglaublicher Verwandlungskunst, war jedoch Antisemit und infolge seiner Nähe zum Nationalsozialismus als Person sehr umstritten.
