John Boyd Dunlop (Dreghorn, 5 febbraio 1840 – Dublino, 23 ottobre 1921) è stato un inventore e chirurgo britannico, fondatore della omonima società produttrice degli pneumatici Dunlop Pneumatic Tyre Company.
John Boyd Dunlop was a Scottish inventor and veterinary surgeon who invented the first practical pneumatic tyre for his son's tricycle in 1887. He sold his rights to Harvey Du Cros, who founded the Dunlop Rubber company, and retired in 1895.
