Field Marshal Charles Ronald Llewelyn Guthrie, Baron Guthrie of Craigiebank, GCB, GCVO, OBE, DL (born 17 November 1938) is a retired senior officer of the British Army who served as Chief of the General Staff from 1994 to 1997 and Chief of the Defence Staff from 1997 until his retirement in 2001.
Raised to the peerage as Baron Guthrie of Craigiebank, of Craigiebank in the City of Dundee in 2001, Guthrie retired from the House of Lords in December 2020. General the Lord Charles Guthrie of Craigiebank, GCB, LVO, OBE, DL was Chief of the Defence Staff of the United Kingdom between 1997 and 2001.
