Alf Ramsey. (Sir) Alf Ramsey (22 January 1920 – 28 April 1999) was an English footballer and football manager. He was born in 1920 and played for Southampton F.C. and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. He also played for the England national football team 32 times and scored three goals.
The reliable Right Back who read the game beautifully revolutionised his country’s reputation on the world stage. Knighted in 1967, Sir Alf Ramsey passed away in 1999. He was an inaugural inductee to the National Football Museum Hall Of Fame in 2002.
