Christopher James Buck (born February 24, 1958) is an American film director, animator, and screenwriter known for co-directing Tarzan (1999), Surf's Up (2007) (which was nominated for the 2007 Oscar for Best Animated Feature), Frozen (2013), which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2014, Frozen II (2019), and Wish (2023).

Chris Buck is an animation film director from Wichita, Kansas. He directed the Disney animated films Tarzan, Frozen, Frozen Fever and Frozen II and Sony Pictures Animation's Surf's Up. He was a supervising animator for Percy, Grandmother Willow and Wiggins for Pocahontas.
Fast forward to 2022 and Chris finds himself atop the iTunes and Amazon album charts with his new band Cardinal Black's debut album, January Came Close, having been voted ‘Best New Guitarist’, ‘Best Blues Guitarist’ and 'Best Pop Guitarist' in successive years by the readers of Guitarist Magazine.
