    Version 7 has a new file structure to allow for more fields and longer fields. All data that you entered into version 6 will transfer into BK 7. BK7 has the same reports and features as BK 6.6 plus extra reports and features. Here are some of the changes that are in version 7.

    Some fields are longer. 1. In version 6 names and locations can be 100 characters. 2. In version 7 names can be 110 characters and locations can be 120 characters.

    The Edit screen in 7 looks like the one in 6.6 except in 7 the Marriage event can go above the Died and Buried events (unless you set the option to turn that off.)
    In 7 if you delete someone, that BK number is automatically reused (unless you set the option to not reuse numbers.)

    Version 7 does not use Btrieve for the database. Some users have had trouble with Btrieve or wbtrv32.dll and this version will work better for them.
