Directed by Thiru. Indran suffers from narcolepsy, a sleep disorder that makes him fall asleep at the slightest excitement. He meets Meera and they fall in love but one night, they are attacked by unknown persons. Indran panics and goes into sleep, while Meera is raped.
Vijay is a Tamil professor living with his widowed mother and his sister. He is in love with Uma, a lawyer. During a visit to his friend Ravi's house, he is disgusted by goingon in his neighborhood. Illicit liquor is being sold at a tea-stall while prostitution is flourishing in another house in the same colony.
