The Villain (French: Le Vilain) is a 2009 French comedy film written and directed by and starring Albert Dupontel. Plot [ edit ] Sydney Thomas, a gangster nicknamed Le Vilain, decides to hide from the police by going to his mother's.
Le Vilain is Dupontel's fourth directorial outing, and possibly his best - a completely unhinged mix of surreal farce and black comedy in which a dear old lady with a ruthless streak (and an uncanny resemblance to the present British monarch) attempts to rehabilitate her wayward son.
