KARLSSON ON THE ROOF. by Vibeke Idsøe. synopsis. PeeWee, a lonely 7-year old, lives with his family in Stockholm. His brother and sister are teenagers with lives of their own, and PeeWee feels he has nobody to play with. But one day - litteraly out of the blue - a chubby little man appears in his room. He claims to live on the roof and, most amazing of all, Karlsson has a propeller on his back and can actually fly. Karlsson is soon written off as a figment of PeeWee’s imagination because he has a habit of disappearing whenever PeeWee wants to show him to his family. But to PeeWee, Karlsson is very much alive.
