A cute but inconsequential romantic comedy, this ABC Movie of the Week features Karen Valentine as a gabby, young romantic who is hired for a night for notorious, older bachelor Richard Long's 40th birthday. The night goes unconsummated, but they become close friends, with Valentine eventually moving in and having designs on a closer relationship.
The Girl Who Came Gift-Wrapped plot. Magazine publisher and playboy Michael Green (Richard Long) has just turned 40. When the doorbell rings at his apartment, a scantily clad young lady (Karen Valentine) in a bow is standing at his door. Michael suspects his friends are behind this, but in fact the young woman is behind it herself.
