11 ott 2020 · Reviewer: drskip12 - favorite favorite - May 27, 2024 Subject: Eyes of the Underworld Here are the facts: every actor and actress was at the end of their so-called careers. they are all trying so hard to make this obviously B film into something more. there is an aura of desperation that is the magnitude of a 9 point L.A. earthquake....that said, Wendy Barrie is hot....this film is not.
The title refers to the eyes but this is really about the ears of the underworld, or the ears of the sanctioned corrupt cops, who secretly record and blackmail. Some impressive sequences with hard shadows, solid urban interior noir photography, and police radio surveillance.
