Lighthouse is a 1947 American drama film directed by Frank Wisbar and starring Don Castle, June Lang and John Litel. A low-budget independent production, it was distributed by Producers Releasing Corporation .
With Don Castle, June Lang, John Litel, Marion Martin. Older Hank Armitage and younger Sam Wells lead a combined lonely existence in their relative seclusion as a lighthouse keeper and his assistant, respectively, their lighthouse built on what would otherwise be a small pile of rocks off the coast.

All three live together in the close confines of the lighthouse and jealously and recrimination rise nearly as high inside as the pounding surf and howling winds outside. It also begins to look like an Edgar G. Ulmer film, if it wasn't so semi-rational.
Lighthouse plot. Connie is madly in love with lighthouse keeper Sam Wells, but he rejects her. She then targets his colleague Hank Armitage, and marries him out of spite. All three live together within the narrow confines of the lighthouse and jealousy and reproach rise almost as high as the crashing waves and howling wind outside.

A better than average PRC melodrama directed by Frank Wisbar starring Nancy Drew's dad (John Litel) as an older lighthouse keeper unknowingly caught in a love triangle. An unusual setting for a poverty row joint, some solid acting by the leads and a story that moves right along are the highlights.
