Fingerprints Don't Lie is a 1951 American crime film directed by Sam Newfield and starring Richard Travis, Sheila Ryan and Margia Dean. It was released by the independent distributor Lippert Pictures. The film's sets were designed by the art director Harry Reif.

Synopsis by Hal Erickson. Lippert's Fingerprints Don't Lie stars Richard Travis as fingerprint expert James Stover. At the moment, Stover is attempting to solve the murder of a small-town mayor.
A man sits in prison, convicted of murder, insisting he didn't do it. Yet his fingerprints are on the murder weapon, a telephone. His fiancée believes him innocent and begs the man who helped put him away with his fingerprint evidence (Richard Travis) to investigate the case further.

While looking at the copies of Paul's fingerprints, James suddenly realizes that someone must have forged Paul's prints on the telephone. Further tests reveal that the palm print on the phone is Kelso's, and James speculates that Kelso framed Paul for the murder.
