THE CROSSING. AUSTRALIA 1990. Dopo un anno e mezzo Sam torna nella sua città natale per chiedere alla fidanzata Meg, che era stato costretto a lasciare, di seguirlo nella grande città. Ma Meg, profondamente triste per la partenza di Sam, ha iniziato a vdersi col suo migliore amico Johnny.

Sam arrives in his home town after 18 months away, hopeful that Meg, the girlfriend he abandoned, will go back with him to the city.
