Girato nel 1974 da Jeff Gillen ed Alan Ormsby, DERANGED è impeccabile dal punto di vista stilistico e regala alcuni virtuosismi da manuale (la scena finale girata al rallentatore e senza colonna sonora è quanto di più atroce, triste e agghiacciante si sia mai visto sullo schermo!
