Wild Iris plot "Sometimes life is harder than death." After her husband Ronnie's cowardly suicide, "wild" Iris (Laura Linney) and her son have no choice but to move in with her critical and domineering mother Minnie (Gena Rowlands), who blames Iris for Ronnie's death. 8 years later, Iris still lives there and makes wedding dresses for pregnant teenagers for her mother's shop.
