Prisoner of the Caucasus or Shurik's New Adventures (Russian: Кавказская пленница, или Новые приключения Шурика) is a 1967 Soviet romantic musical comedy film dealing with a plot revolving around bride kidnapping, an old tradition that used to exist in certain regions of the Northern Caucasus.

With Aleksandr Demyanenko, Natalya Varley, Vladimir Etush, Frunzik Mkrtchyan. A young student Shurik comes to a remote mountainous region in search of ancient legends and traditions. Fooled by the corrupt local governor, he helps him to kidnap a beautiful young girl, but soon realizes what he's done.
