In 1939, James Kingstreet (John Saxon) and his wife (Tippi Hedren) find the game preserve they manage at risk due the outbreak of war. Located between Italian-governed Abyssinia and British-controlled Kenya, the area has water reserves that the opposing forces need and are prepared to take, no matter how it destroys the area and harms the wildlife.
