Liberia '77 is a documentary that follows two Canadian brothers as they return to the country of their childhood - after 30 years and two civil wars - to find the people and places of their father's photographs.
At the height of the conflicts, everyday Africans were forced to destroy their photographs or face death, leaving millions of people with only memories of their former lives or deceased loved ones. Incredibly, the Topham family had moved just in time to avoid the atrocities that befell Liberia.
