Village of the Giants is a 1965 American teensploitation comedy science fiction film produced, directed and written by Bert I. Gordon. Based loosely on H. G. Wells's 1904 book The Food of the Gods and How It Came to Earth, it contains elements of the beach party film genre.

Overview. "Genius" accidentally invents "goo" which causes living things to rapidly grow to an enormous size. Seeing an opportunity to get rich, some delinquent teenagers steal the "goo" and, as a result of a sophomoric dare, consume it themselves and become thirty feet tall.
More than 60 years after it was written, B-movie maven Bert I. Gordon came along and turned Wells' visionary tale into a demented teenage musical fantasy entitled Village of the Giants (1965). If nothing else, the film deserves some kind of cult status for the cast alone.
