I Melvins sono un gruppo stoner metal/sludge metal statunitense fondato da Roger "Buzz" Osborne (detto anche King Buzzo, alla chitarra e voce), Mike Dillard e Matt Lukin nel 1983 ad Aberdeen, Washington.
Melvins (sometimes the Melvins) are an American rock band formed in 1983 in Montesano, Washington. Their early work was key to the development of both grunge and sludge metal. Primarily a trio, they have also performed as a quartet, with either two drummers or two bassists.

6 feb 2024 · I MELVINS hanno annunciato il nuovo album "Tarantula Heart", il quale vedrà la luce il 19 aprile 2024 su Ipecac Recordings. Il disco è stato prodotto da Toshi Kasai e vede il contributo del chitarrista dei WE ARE THE ASTEROID Gary Chester e del batterista dei MINISTRY Roy Mayorga.
