Walter Egan (born July 12, 1948) is an American rock musician, best known for his 1978 gold status hit single "Magnet and Steel" from his second album release, Not Shy, produced by Egan, Lindsey Buckingham and Richard Dashut. The song reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #18 on the Easy Listening chart. In Canada it reached #9.

Walter Eugene Egan ( Chicago, 2 giugno 1881 – Monterey, 12 settembre 1971) è stato un golfista statunitense . Carriera. Egan partecipò ai Giochi olimpici di Saint Louis 1904, dove vinse una medaglia d'oro nel torneo a squadre.
