John Parke Custis (November 27, 1754 – November 5, 1781) was an American planter and politician, only son of Martha Washington and stepson of George Washington. He is now known for his progeny, especially those raised by President Washington.

22 dic 2021 · John Parke Custis was a planter and member of the House of Delegates (1778–1781). After the death of his father, Daniel Parke Custis, his mother, Martha Dandridge Custis, married George Washington and moved the family to Mount Vernon.
Washington served as a father figure for his two step-children, John "Jacky" Parke Custis and Martha "Patcy" Parke Custis. Patcy was an epileptic and passed away following a seizure when she was only seventeen years old in 1773.
